Only a few weeks since we shared our film photography trends for 2026, and another new colour film has just been launched by Harman, the team behind the recent releases of Harmam Red and Phoenix II. It’s certainly an exciting start for the film industry in 2026!
There’s a brand new colour film in town, and it’s anything but ordinary…
HARMAN SWITCH AZURE has just landed, inviting you to see the world in a completely different way. Think pink and orange skies, blue-toned city streets, surreal portraits and everyday moments transformed into something beautifully unexpected…
HARMAN Announces New Film: HARMAN SWITCH AZURE 125
HARMAN Technology has introduced a new addition to its growing creative colour film lineup, meet HARMAN SWITCH AZURE 125. The new ISO 125 film continues the company’s exploration of experimental colour rendering, offering photographers a fresh way to see everyday scenes.
Designed as a creative film, SWITCH AZURE produces unexpected colour shifts that transform familiar subjects into something more surreal. With its unusual colour response, ordinary scenes can take on a completely different look, think pink or orange skies, cyan-toned fruit, and striking blue highlights where you might normally expect warm tones.
Take a look at it in the sample shots below!

The effect comes from a unique adjustment in the film’s colour couplers. By effectively “switching” the behaviour of certain colour layers, the film alters the contrast response of individual colour channels. This can cause blues to render as orange tones, yellows to appear as vivid azure, and reds to shift toward purple or blue hues.
SWITCH AZURE 125 joins HARMAN’s expanding range of creative films, following earlier releases including HARMAN Phoenix, Phoenix II, and HARMAN RED. The new film continues the company’s push into experimental colour photography, supported by ongoing investment in film manufacturing and research.
The film is now available online from us in both 35mm and 120 formats, making it accessible to photographers across a range of camera systems. If you like less than conventional results with your photography or fancy trying something a bit different, it’s worth giving it a try!
HARMAN is also encouraging photographers to share their results with the community by tagging images shot on the film online. Feedback from photographers will help shape the company’s future film development which is key for both the industry, and new releases in the future.
More sample photos from the team and first impressions to come soon on here as we put it through its paces! Will you be giving this new Harman film stock a go?
