Step 1.
Choose Your Processing Service
Once you have identified your film using our illustrated images below, select the processing option that matches your film format, followed by the development requirements for your film type we can process, Colour C-41, Black and White, ECN2 or souped.
You can identify the development type required, by looking for the wording which will be written on the film canister that you have. If you need any help in identifying your film please contact us by email with an image of the film itself, we will be happy to help.
Exposure - film comes in different lengths, this is usually indicated on the canister, select the number that you see written on your film. For 120 format, there is no set exposure option, as this varies depending on your medium format camera.
Print size – If you don’t need prints, simply select ‘No Prints Required.’ However, if you’d like to have your images printed, we offer a variety of sizes to choose from, available in either matte or gloss finishes.
Extra sets – if you would like more than 1 set of prints from a roll of film you can select here how many additional sets you require.
Digital Scans/Dropbox - select this option if you wish to receive digital files of your images (please note that you don’t need to have a dropbox account for this option).
White Border – you can choose to add a white border to your images - this applies to only the prints and NOT Dropbox/CD digital files.
Would you like your negatives returned – select this option if you want us to send them back to you.
Half/split frame scans – this applies only to customers who have used a half frame camera.
Notes - if you want to provide us with any additional information, you can do this here
Quantity – If all your film rolls have the same number of exposures and require the same processing options, you can adjust the quantity here. However, if you need different processing options for each roll, select them individually and add each one to the cart separately.
Step 2.
Select Your Processing Options
If you want to view your images you must select either prints or digital scans, by selecting no prints required and no digital scans required we will return only your processed negatives back to you. This is an option for customers who have access to a film scanner of their own.
Next, it’s time to choose your processing options. Here is an explanation of each option, and what they mean.

We Process Your Film(s)
- Send your package with your courier of choice.
- We highly recommend using a tracked service to ensure the parcel can be traced during its journey to us. This adds an extra layer of security and peace of mind.
- Film rolls and disposable cameras are classified as small parcels when sent via Royal Mail. We recommend verifying with your local post office before mailing. Applying incorrect postage may result in delays and additional charges, which are beyond our control.
- If you’re sending pre-processed negatives, they may not require this classification. To avoid confusion or overpaying, check with your local post office before sending.
WHAT DO OUR CUSTOMERS THINK?

I tried FilmProcessing after a dissapointing experience at another photo shop which almost put me off photography, and honestly I have yet to have any complaint with anything they've done.
Sending film rolls in is extremely easy, I do mine wholly by post with their printed form, because that's just the routine I have, but you can submit the order online (and you do get a LOT more options for types of film such as souped film etc) and post it; I assume most people do it the latter way.
Turnaround time for colour C-41 film development and return is usually around 3 working days from postage, sometimes a bit quicker depending on your order, B/W film was about 10 days, but given the way B/W is developed this is a pretty decent turnaround.
All of my orders so far are requested to have 6x4 gloss prints with all the photos digitized to CD and at no point has their packaging been a problem, there is very clearly a lot of care that goes into it (even the CD has its own inlay card telling you what's on it), the prints are, again, a really good quality and the negatives have always returned in a nice plastic sleeve with no damage. The scans themselves have always come out great, with no real concern regarding quality or colouring,
Plus, it's a local Plymouth business which is great for me as I live in the area and its nice to support something local, but even if it wasn't, I'd probrably still be using them as regularly as I do now.
