At the end of August we hosted our third photowalk in Cardiff which was generously sponsored by our friends Fujifilm, hosted by one of our brand ambassadors Chris Evans, and the team!

We couldn't have asked for a better photowalk, with some Welsh rain thrown in for good measure.

20 from the film community joined us for the afternoon as we headed around Cardiff, shooting on a mixture of Fujifilm classics.

Here are some of the highlights from our walk, with a range of photographs from our talented walkers!

Behind The Scenes From Our Cardiff Photowalk!

We kickstarted our walk by handing out some Fujifilm goodie bags, with each walker receiving a film of Fujifilm 200 and 400 to get creative with during the walk.

Our starting point for the walk was a stones throw from the train station in Cardiff, and the weather was absolutely playing ball for us!

We then started the walk, making our way towards the millennium walk alongside the river Taff by the principality stadium.

So many beautiful opportunities for photos along the way.

We then continued onwards towards the parks that surround Cardiff castle before heading into the city centre and exploring the historic city arcades.

Whether it was intentional or not, we love this light leak on Mike Hancock's shot that was taken on Fujifilm 400, the red against the green with a slightly distorted look creates such a cool image taken in the park!

Even though everyone followed the same route and shot on the same two film stocks, it’s always a joy to see just how diverse each person’s set of images turns out.

We managed to make it down to the arcades as some rain showers made an appearance, and the inside shots brought a whole new level of depth and fun with them.

Among the group of photographers, everyone had a wide variety of different cameras and lenses which allowed them to showcase different looks and styles when capturing the city on film.

We absolutely loved John Trew's attention to colour and detail shown on a few of his shots below which were all captured on Fujifilm 400.

You can just feel the warmth and intensity of colour in these, they feel so vibrant and uplifting despite the changeable weather on the day!

There were also some incredible warped fish eye shots by Spencer Walters which were shot on Fujifilm 400.

And we loved the energy and movement of this awesome photo shot by Ethan on Fujifilm 200 in the underpass.

It was also a reminder that you can think outside of the box when shooting on film and follow some less than conventional techniques to create something beautiful and unique.

Rebecca Forsey created some incredible double exposure shots with super clever overlays, here's a few to inspire you that were taken on Fujfilm 400.

We finished up the walk, making a final stop at Brew Dog to collect everyone's films for processing back in the lab, and for a much needed drink and refuel!

Once again a huge thank you to Fujifilm for kindly sponsoring this photowalk, we had an amazing afternoon and as always, it was a pleasure to be joined by so many of the film community. All images were developed and scanned by the team back at the lab.

We can't wait to host our next one, let us know in the comments where you'd love to see our next photowalk take place!

Take a look at more behind the scenes action in the video below.
